Have you tried dieting and exercising to remove stubborn pockets of fat in your abdomen, but experienced no results? For many people, removing fat from the stomach area can be a frustrating and fruitless endeavor that leads them to seek out other options. A nonsurgical tummy tuck removes unwanted fat from the abdomen for a sleeker stomach, without requiring surgery or a lengthy recovery. A combination of CoolSculpting to remove unwanted fat and to tighten the skin provides results that diet and exercise are not always able to achieve.
Liposuction, under expert guidance, is highly effective, more accurate and can be used in a variety of conditions. Newer ultrasound-assisted procedures have enabled plastic surgeons to be highly accurate in fat removal with a minimum of post-surgical complications. In general, liposuction is considered to be much more effective, but nonsurgical fat removal can be a good alternative for those who simply need a little additional help for some stubborn spots – or can be the only alternative if surgery is not possible. So, yes, nonsurgical fat removal works for the right patient but it does not compare to traditional liposuction. Noninvasive alternatives to fat removal, of course, bring limited results, so it’s important to discuss with your surgeon what the true body contour changes will be, as opposed to expectations from ads. In the end, the search for the Holy Grail of noninvasive body sculpting continues!
CoolSculpting is a fat loss procedure that destroys fat cells through a process called cryolipolysis. The CoolSculpt applicator is attached to the skin and gradually lowers the temperature of the fat cells in order to induce apoptosis, or controlled cell death. The procedure is painless and lasts around one hour per area being targeted for fat loss.
The lipids in fat cells crystallize at a warmer temperature than most cells, meaning CoolSculpting will exclusively freeze fat cells and leave the surrounding tissue unharmed. Once the cells have been destroyed, the body’s natural lymphatic system will remove them over a period of two to four months.
Downtime following a CoolSculpting appointment is nonexistent and side effects are very mild. Each CoolSculpting treatment removes an average of 23 percent of the fat cells in the targeted area. Most of our patients are happy with such a reduction, however, for those seeking a more aggressive result, two to three appointments spaced at least one month apart are recommended. CoolSculpting is not meant for significant fat loss and does not cause much, if any, weight loss. We recommend being within 10 to 15 pounds of your ideal body weight before considering a CoolSculpting procedure.
Generally creams and exercise do not remove loose skin. Nonsurgical modalities are available at the Med Spa and are highly effective at tightening loose skin without having to remove the loose skin with invasive surgery.
In the past, skin removal was necessary after significant weight loss or pregnancy to achieve the benefits of skin tightening and a subtle reduction of fat. After all, it’s not unusual to see significant changes in the skin when one has been been carrying some extra weight for a prolonged period of time. These changes are especially noticeable in the midsection due to fat accumulation, sagging skin, weakened stretched abdominal muscles and stretch marks.
Candidates for nonsurgical tummy tucks have a little extra fat but have reasonable skin tone. If the skin is not too loose, a nonsurgical approach may be able to tighten the skin after a moderate amount of fat loss. Moreover, if you absolutely do not want to have surgery, or are not a surgical candidate, you may be a candidate for the nonsurgical tummy tuck.
Orange County tummy tuck can restore firm, youthful-looking contours to your midsection using non-surgical techniques. Non-surgical tummy tuck has no significant downtime or recovery. Patients can remove stubborn belly fat with body contouring and tighten loose abdominal skin with BodyTite™, ThermiTight®, or SmartLipo™ for natural-looking results. Body By Bassin offers these innovative alternatives to traditional tummy tuck surgery at each of our Florida offices.
Traditional tummy tuck surgery requires extensive incisions and stitches across the midsection. Abdominoplasty patients require weeks of downtime following treatment and may not resume daily activities for a few months. Liposuction in Orange County offers less invasive tummy tuck options to achieve natural-looking results with less extensive recovery. Learn more about your non-surgical abdominoplasty options below.
Tummy tuck or abdominoplasty addresses lax skin, as well as stretched abdominal muscles. Your tummy tuck surgeon will make incisions around the abdomen and carefully reposition, redrape, and remove hanging or sagging skin. Your underlying stomach muscles can also be tightened to restore a flatter, more natural look. Abdominoplasty surgery results in weeks of healing time before you can resume your daily routine.
The non-surgical tummy tuck options are very different from a traditional tummy tuck. Non-surgical abdominoplasty does not require lengthy incisions or sutures across the abdomen; instead, a small incision is used to place a specialized probe or cannula underneath the skin. This device encourages skin tightening and removes fat to enhance abdominal contours. Non-surgical tummy tuck techniques are typically performed using a local anesthetic, unlike abdominoplasty surgery, which usually requires general anesthesia.
